Here is my current .htaccess file:

Does it look correct? I know something in here is causing the pages to not open and only download. As well as, random HTTP ERROR 500. Any help would be greatly appreciated as we are new to this. Thank you.

We have both the .htaccess file and php.ini, are both files required in the directory?

# 1.To use URL Alias you need to be running apache with mod_rewrite enabled.

# 2. In your opencart directory rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess.

  1. Did you put your .htaccess file in the root directory?

Comment out those two line one by one and run your code again and check if the error shown.
