I’m trying to create an Indexer in Azure Cognitive Search service. but it not being created, it does not appear in indexer, I have many indexers created by others, I have also created indexers previously and it worked fine. but from few days ago new indexer is not being created even after authentication using device code is done. it still not appears in indexer list.

tried using REST API and UI also.

  1. This looks very specific of your use case and that would require the support team to review for configuration and understanding if this an issue specific of your search deployment or that specific indexer. Please open a support ticket. Thanks

  2. This is especially frustrating as it was working perfectly when I used it 2 months ago. Logically, one would assume a preview feature would improve over time.

  3. The issue you’re experiencing with Azure Cognitive Search SharePoint indexer (preview) has been recognized as a known issue by the product team.

Our team has crafted a hotfix to address this problem. Regrettably, the deployment of this fix to the Search Service won’t occur until December due to the prioritization of General Availability (GA) features over Preview features. This connector is supported on a best-effort basis, in line with the Preview Terms of Use.

In the interim, we suggest using application permissions as a workaround, rather than user delegated permissions. This modification should enable you to create new indexers until the hotfix is implemented.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your understanding and patience.
