Following a bunch of automatic server updates MariaDB keeps crashing and will not restart. Pasted below are the last 100 lines of the mysqld log but I don’t know what I am looking for here… Then I try to restart mysql Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have not tried anything to solve the problem yet because I can’t tell what it is…

Thank you for the suggestions. In this case it finally came out that it was a problem related to a recent update. The server runs on a VPS which runs on a kernel kept secure by kernelcare updates. I can't update the kernel, only the VPS operator can and apparently the outdated kernel is responsible for the problems with MariaDB. If you are troubleshooting on your own please see this post on the Plesk support site that shows how I worked around it.
Well done on asking first. There is no evidence of crashing or service unavailable from your logs.
Indicates it isn’t crashing. The lack of a shutdown message would indicate a hard kill via KILL -9 or the OOM killer of the OS.
Is an indication of just that. ref REPAIR TABLE. To fix use the SQL statement:

The cpanel support forum answer sees to indicate this is a version check (and hence can be ignored). Or you could create this user without giving it any grants and it can do almost nothing.
