I am working on running a dovecot/postfix/mysql mailserver on ubuntu 18.04, according to these guides (1) (2). Everything seems to operate well, however my ISP blocks default postfix port 25. I attempted to change the outbound postfix port to 2525 via the recommended “change ‘smtp’ to ‘2525’” in master.cf, however this then exits with an error code on my mail client, Roundcube. It lists it as “error -1” which isn’t helpful as this is just a connection error. The postfix log file repeats the same error:
postfix/smtp[PID]: Censored: to=, relay=none, delay=1050, delays=1019/0.01/30/0, dsn=4.4.1, status=deferred (connect to reception.mail-tester.com[94.23.206.89]:25: Connection timed out)
As you can see, it still tries to use port 25. Listed are the appropriate config files. Can anyone point out where I’m going wrong here? I’m sure I’m missing something, but I can’t figure out what that might be, and need some guidance 🙂

Solution: In order to get this to work, I had to relay through a designated mail host. I opted for Sendgrid, instructions can be found here in case someone else has the same issue in the future, with further info on sendgrid's API here.
today I installed an Postfix and I wonder, but the parameter inet_protocols is now net_protocols. (postfix-2.10.1-9.e17.x86_64).
