I followed the steps recommended by the Flutter docs (https://docs.flutter.dev/deployment/android) to build and release an app but this procedure generates exceptions into my project

In the step Configure signing with gradle it is said that these lines must be added before the android block:

def keystoreProperties = new Properties()
def keystorePropertiesFile = rootProject.file('key.properties')
if (keystorePropertiesFile.exists()) {
    keystoreProperties.load(new FileInputStream(keystorePropertiesFile))
}

And this inside and at the end of android block:

    signingConfigs {
        release {
            keyAlias keystoreProperties['keyAlias']
            keyPassword keystoreProperties['keyPassword']
            storeFile keystoreProperties['storeFile'] ? file(keystoreProperties['storeFile'])
            storePassword keystoreProperties['storePassword']
        }
    }

    buildTypes {
        release {
            // TODO: Add your own signing config for the release build.
            // Signing with the debug keys for now, so `flutter run --release` works.
            signingConfig signingConfigs.release
        }

But adding this lines trow an error that disappears if I delete them:

FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.

* Where:
Build file 'C:UsersBenevosmy-appandroidappbuild.gradle' line: 34

* What went wrong:
Could not compile build file 'C:UsersBenevosmy-appandroidappbuild.gradle'.
> startup failed:
  build file 'C:UsersBenevosmy-appandroidappbuild.gradle': 34: Unexpected input: '{' @ line 34, column 9.
     android {
             ^

  1 error

I do not know why this generates a syntax error, anyone has an idea of what’s wrong?

Here is my gradle file:

def localProperties = new Properties()
def localPropertiesFile = rootProject.file('local.properties')
if (localPropertiesFile.exists()) {
    localPropertiesFile.withReader('UTF-8') { reader ->
        localProperties.load(reader)
    }
}

def flutterRoot = localProperties.getProperty('flutter.sdk')
if (flutterRoot == null) {
    throw new GradleException("Flutter SDK not found. Define location with flutter.sdk in the local.properties file.")
}

def flutterVersionCode = localProperties.getProperty('flutter.versionCode')
if (flutterVersionCode == null) {
    flutterVersionCode = '1'
}

def flutterVersionName = localProperties.getProperty('flutter.versionName')
if (flutterVersionName == null) {
    flutterVersionName = '1.0'
}

def keystoreProperties = new Properties()

  1. I think you are missing condition at this line, change

    storeFile keystoreProperties['storeFile'] ? file(keystoreProperties['storeFile'])

    to

    storeFile keystoreProperties['storeFile'] ? file(keystoreProperties['storeFile']) : null

  2. Try This code

    def localProperties = new Properties()
    def localPropertiesFile = rootProject.file('local.properties')
    if (localPropertiesFile.exists()) {
        localPropertiesFile.withReader('UTF-8') { reader ->
            localProperties.load(reader)
        }
    }

    def flutterRoot = localProperties.getProperty('flutter.sdk')
    if (flutterRoot == null) {
        throw new GradleException("Flutter SDK not found. Define location with flutter.sdk in the local.properties file.")

    }

    def flutterVersionName = localProperties.getProperty('flutter.versionName')
    if (flutterVersionName == null) {
