remove the the highlighted part
so i was making a basic profile webpage with and css, but now i am facing a problem.
there is a large space b/w the div of class=".item", even though i have not given any. can anyone pls tell my why this is happening.

i read my code many times, used chrome developer tools to find why there is a extra space in b/w, asked chatgpt but couldn’t figure it out.

Hello i’ve inspected your code you have added grid-template-rows to container div you can modify this line to grid-template-rows: 70px 1fr 1fr 1fr auto or make it as you see it good
You need to slightly reorganize your HTML as below you first need 2 columns. Then the right side column needs to be split into 2 rows. the below rows the needs to be split into 3rows with 2 columns as follows. You need for that to add additional wrapping that you will style with and needed grid template column or rows ( note that the last row in the right is spanning 2 columns as you apparently wanted, and I removed the footer from the grid layout as well). Change the gap to also space it as you wish
