I containerized my Laravel 8 project with laradock in my Ubuntu 20.04 virtual machine and configured the settings. This project that i’ve containerized was working fine in my Windows machine without being containerized.

After containerized and tried to run this Controller method :

public function paylasim_post(Request $request)
    {
        $post_baslik = $request->post_baslik;

        $posts = BlogPost::where('baslik', $post_baslik)->get();

        if ($posts->isEmpty()) {
            return back()
                     ->withErrors([
                       'hata' => [
                         'Paylaşım bulunamadı',

                       ],
                       'success' => [
                         'Paylaşım bulunabilirdi hani :D ',

                         ]
                       ]);
        }

        return view('pages.blog_post', ['posts' => $posts]);
    }

which is called by this : Route::post('/paylasim', [App::class, 'paylasim_post'])->name('paylasim_post');

it gaves me this error : SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Connection refused (SQL: select * from paylasimlar where baslik = asd)

  1. The error message might be easily explained …

    SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Connection refused

    Don’t login a web-application to the database as user root

    …which may not even be permitted to connect from that host.

  2. Please check is your DB_DATABASE is laravel or not. And DB_HOST should be the localhost address.

    DB_CONNECTION=mysql
    DB_HOST=127.0.0.1
    DB_PORT=3306
    DB_DATABASE=laravel
    DB_USERNAME=root
    DB_PASSWORD=root
