error: externally-managed-environment

× This environment is externally managed
╰─> To install Python packages system-wide, try apt install
python3-xyz, where xyz is the package you are trying to
    install.

If you wish to install a non-Debian-packaged Python package,
    create a virtual environment using python3 -m venv path/to/venv.
Then use path/to/venv/bin/python and path/to/venv/bin/pip. Make
    sure you have python3-full installed.

If you wish to install a non-Debian packaged Python application,
it may be easiest to use pipx install xyz, which will manage a
virtual environment for you. Make sure you have pipx installed.

    See /usr/share/doc/python3.12/README.venv for more information.

note: If you believe this is a mistake, please contact your Python installation or OS distribution provider. You can override this, at the risk of breaking your Python installation or OS, by passing --break-system-packages.
hint: See PEP 668 for the detailed specification.

  1. The error is most likely because you have not installed the googlesearch module. In Python, built-in modules like os, sys, math, and datetime are all already installed and can be directly accessed using import. However, for non-builtin modules like pandas, open3d, and googlesearch, you need to first access and install it.

Even though the error messages suggest trying apt install python3-googlesearch, googlesearch is a non-Debian package (meaning it is not part of the Linux distribution system). Because of this, you will need to create a virtual environment and use pip to install it.

pip should automatically create a virtual environment for you if non is found, so in your IDE terminal/console, try python3 -m pip install googlesearch-python. If that doesn’t work try pip3 install googlesearch.

If that doesn’t work, follow the top answer here to create a new virtual environment. and try to install googlesearch again.

  2. you need to work in a virtual environment. type (on linux/MacOSX) python3 -m venv .venv to create one, . .venv/bin/activate to activate one and deactivate to deactivate one. Read more here.
