I got a client with a wordpress website. It has a Divi theme and a Uber Menu (Mega Menu?).
Their issue is, when adding a page to the existing and working menu, it is shown, but then after publishing, the added item became an empty individual link.

I tried A LOT. I increased the max_item_value to 10000, and increased other values, too. I looked inside the wp_debug log, and tried to fix some issues there, but it didn’t really help. WordPress and all plugins are up-to-date. And now I’m out of ideas.

What could cause this error?

Here you can have my wp_debug log – maybe you can get something out of it…

  1. It looks like there’s an issue with the Action Scheduler plugin based on the provided wp_debug log. The error message indicates that there’s a problem releasing actions from claim ID 0. This particular error can lead to unexpected behavior on your WordPress site.

  2. The error you shared from the wp_debug log seems to be related to the Action Scheduler plugin rather than the issue with the menu item turning into an empty individual link. The error suggests a problem with releasing actions from the claim ID.

To troubleshoot the menu issue, you can try the following steps:

    1. Verify if the menu item is properly assigned to a menu location: Go to "Appearance" -> "Menus" in the WordPress admin area. Check if the newly added page is assigned to the correct menu location. If it’s not assigned to any menu location, select the appropriate menu and save the changes.

    2. Check for conflicting plugins or themes: Deactivate other plugins and switch to a default WordPress theme (e.g., Twenty Twenty-One) temporarily. Then try adding the page to the menu again. If it works, there might be a conflict with the active theme or one of the plugins. You can reactivate them one by one to identify the conflicting element.

    3. Clear cache: If you have a caching plugin installed, clear the cache to ensure the changes take effect. Cached menu data can sometimes cause inconsistencies.

    4. Update Divi theme and UberMenu: Ensure that both the Divi theme and the UberMenu plugin are up to date. Outdated themes or plugins can sometimes cause compatibility issues with WordPress updates.

    5. Reset permalinks: Go to "Settings" -> "Permalinks" and simply click on the "Save Changes" button without modifying any settings. This action can refresh the permalink structure and resolve certain URL-related issues.

If none of the above steps resolve the problem, it’s possible that the issue is specific to the Divi theme or UberMenu plugin. In that case, you may need to reach out to the theme/plugin developers for further assistance. Provide them with the details of the issue and any relevant error messages you encounter.

Regarding the error in the wp_debug log related to the Action Scheduler plugin, it appears to be a separate issue. You could try updating the Action Scheduler plugin to its latest version or contact the plugin developer for support in resolving that error.
