  1. It doesn’t matter. Your skills should be flexible. If you could get one of these two certificates, you can easily get the other one.

  2. Drawing on my experience of the industry, and of IT professionals in general, I can quite confidently say that you shouldn’t ask strangers online which one is the best to go for.

    • You never know what a person’s knowledge or experience of either platform is.
    • You don’t know whether they’re impartial or not.
    • You don’t know what drives them to take one side or the other. It could be the technology stack. It could be an ethically or politically motivated opinion. It may be because their Windows PC crashed once, or because their Amazon parcel didn’t arrive.

It depends on so many personal factors. What are your ambitions? In your country or desired place to work, what vacancies are open? Does one track pay better than the other? What is your experience? Which one do you know most about already? Do any of your friends or colleagues have certs? Etc.

So, I can’t give you comprehensive pros and cons. Nobody can. But I can give you a list of cons of asking strangers on the internet.

They’re both leaders in cloud technology. You won’t go far wrong choosing either of them. Whichever one you choose, it’s a good idea to learn a small amount about the other. Not much, because you need to learn a LOT to become an expert at just one. You need just enough so you’re not lost if ever working somewhere where they use both, which is more common than you may think.
